Abstract

This study examines the impact of globalization and media on the cultural identity and values of Arab youth. The researcher used a descriptive approach to analyze the phenomenon and its positive and negative effects. The study found that globalization contributes to the erosion of local cultural identity and increases Western cultural penetration, especially through modern media and communication means. It also revealed that Arab youth face a value conflict between local cultural heritage and imported values. The study recommended strengthening cultural identity through education and local media, and adopting conscious cultural policies to address the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

This paper addresses the emotional impact of the Hajj ritual in the works of Libyan poets. Before delving into the poets and their output, the study discusses the history of the modern poetic movement in Libya and its three stages of development: the Turkish era, the Italian era, and the Liberation era. Subsequently, the study focuses on six poets from different periods who, in their published and manuscript divans (poetry collections), reflected on the inspirations of Hajj, expressing their longing and nostalgia, and describing the feelings and rites of Hajj.
